Alyssa Avant, Christian Ladies Talk Radio Teen Coach

    • alyssaavantAlyssa Avant is a Christian author, blogger, podcaster, speaker, and business owner whose desire is to turn the hearts of girls towards God. Alyssa is real, approachable and enthusiastic as she shares from her heart and from the Word of God. Alyssa lives by the verse in Romans 8:28, “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.” and has a passion to teach girls how they can be different, “set apart” and truly beautiful in the eyes of God and others.

    Alyssa knew years ago deep in her heart that God was calling her to do something, but what that something was she did not know. During her teen years, she was constantly encouraged by her parents, her youth director and many others in her life to be different from the norm, to not follow the crowd.

    Currently when she is not speaking to audiences of young girls and their mothers, she is writ-ing as a freelance and ghostwriter. Following her passion to take her mission to the masses, in April 2007 she began Mom-Daughter Connection Podcast. The podcast currently reaches over 200 listeners. She also puts out a weekly newsletter to 450 subscribers as well as her several blogs.

    With all the projects she is juggling, Alyssa still manages to find time for family and personal projects. Alyssa lives happily in Carrollton, Mississippi with her devoted husband Greg, 4-year-old son Baker, infant daughter Lily, and beloved basset hound, Duke. She also is cur-rently expecting her third child in July 2008.

    Doing her best to be wife, mom, and business owner, Alyssa does a fantastic job at keeping all the balls in the air. She manages to balance it all like a circus juggler. But she says, “ For me, I find it important to always keep my priorities straight, and I find that if I do that well, everything else falls into place.” Alyssa is a proud graduate of the University of Mississippi with a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and is completing her Master’s Degree in Christian Education from the New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. Alyssa served as the youth and children’s minister at Carrollton Baptist Church from June 2002 - March 2007.
